Conrad's shorter works of fiction are mostly ignored in the formalistic analysis his critics. Therefore, order to fill gap literature associated with narrative structure works, authors this article consider detail ideas Genette's narratology for story "Youth, Narration". Narratology, method used article, is a science that originated Russian formalists and engaged systematic study narratives.
